Biography
- Izzat was born in Benghazi, Libya in November 19, 1952.
- Izzat grew up in Libya with a large family and graduated with his bachelorette in military academy in Egypt in 1972.
- Married to Nuwara Greiw
- Izzat (38) was a senior member of the NFSL (the National Front for the Salvation of Libya), an opposition movement committed to restoring democracy in Libya and uprooting Libya's dictatorship.
- During the time of his abduction in March 13th, 1990 from Cairo, Egypt Izzat left behind three sons, the oldest of whom was Youcif was 6, Ahmed at age 5, and Bashir at only 1 month old.
- Izzat enjoyed writing and reading poetry, as well as classical and traditional Libyan music.
- At the moment Izzat's family of three sons and a wife reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
